The show was extremely well received and again Icon Magazine credited us with having the best work in London.
Thanks to everybody who participated, performed, worked with us and visited the 9th Designersblock in London. Again the show was as much about communication as it was about things. This was the most diverse show so far and topped last years in terms of positive response from visitors. We had amazing ideas and work from a fantastic bunch of people and again it was a real live talking show.
We've never been big on Design awards but we were very happy to host the first Designers Are Wankers awards night, it's the first book that's really made a stab at being relevant to designers and it's been selling accordingly in a good bookshops all over the world. The awards ceremony was like no other mercifully, it was short, punchy and very funny, and held the room, there wasn't a cynical face in the house. Later there were fine serenades from Maggie (Scarlet Fantastic & Swansway) accompanied by her lovely husband Lief.
Now after the success of our nightclub in Milan we thought it would be smart to design somewhere for people to go and meet each other after the openings had closed so we put on four late licensed nights of fine bands, acts and djs, for a delighted and very surprised audience, line ups are below and you can check them all out on Myspace if you are inclined,
Acts were
Cantankerous

Paris Motel
Matinee Club (Formerly The Modern)

If anybody has any, and I mean any photos of those evenings, bands and djs please send them to me, I was a pool of happy fluids in the corner shaking with joy and unable to do much more than clap and grin let alone operate a camera, so make my day and provide some evidence that it wasn't all a beautiful dream.
Thanks to Jeremy Gardner at The City of London for a second year of fantastic support,
Thanks to our refreshment sponsors Baltika Beer & Reyka Vodka which are both very very nice drinks indeed and we have learnt a thing or two about drinks over the years.
