2006 25th to 29th August The show where Piers broke his leg.

Welcome to a wet but splendid designersblock frankfurt - our second year at atelier frankfurt by invitation of Nicolette Naumann and Tendence Lifestyle - an event to complement the massive trade show. last year the sun shone, this time it rained every day. Nothing stopped an opening party from providing all the joy you'd expect, complimented by plate throwing, future shorts, fine music and dancing. Piers still maintains he was sober the time he stepped off the dancefloor carrying a large punchbowl of vodka cocktail, tearing a ligament in his knee. something's definitely wrong but the pain only becomes unbearable after about an hour, several consoling drinks and a rendition of 'the impossible dream' to herald paul's birthday later - then you collapse. In Nil Atalay we have discovered the designer of the most comfortable chair in the world. for injuries suffered thanks to all db crew, nil, sven, rajko and the german health service. Thanks also to Laura Housely at Icon Magazine for saying that we had the best work in Frankfurt.
